It has indeed been a big week or two around here, if you read this post or this post you’ll see where it all started. Now to top it off, my little girl is 1, my baby is slowly quickly growing out of her baby stage.
It was 1 year ago today, this morning in fact that I went in for my last prenatal appointment, my due date was 1 year ago tomorrow. That fateful morning my OB told me everything was the same from the prior week and she’ll be on vacation for the following next week so good luck! WHAT?! I said, can we plllleeeeasssseee go to the hospital and try to induce me with (the medicine that dissolves on your tongue-I’m drawing a blank). A. I didn’t want another doctor delivering my baby B. I didn’t want to wait one more week if it didn’t happen while she was on vacation. So, she said that sure we could see what happens.
It turned out, after they got me all settled in and hooked up that I was already having contractions on my own 3-5 minutes apart-so no meds. On it went, Rob got out of work to join me, my younger brother took Ryan for the day and let him eat ice cream in the car (I’ll never forget that). I won’t get into the gory details, but 10 hours later at 10 p.m. she came out screaming and weighed 8 lbs 9 oz. We did not find out what gender she was until she born, to me that part was very exciting. Olivia Reese was nameless for the first 5-10 hours after her birth, that first 5-10 hours are still somewhat of a blur and I cannot remember at what time we finalized the name. She has been a true blessing and could not fit in with our family more perfectly.
Happy 1 year Olivia!

“It” being the fact that my children are growing up so very fast on me. It’s happening right before my eyes and I feel like it’s just flying by. Really, it feels like just yesterday that Ryan was born. Now, now he’s starting Kindergarten this September. Kindergarten? I have to keep reminding myself because I cannot believe it. Last week was one full of tears for me. We attended Kindergarten round up on a Wednesday and then he graduated Pre-School the following day.

and the colors are very vibrant. The fabric clings just right to my skin without being too clingy but still showing that I do have a body underneath my clothing. It washes and dries very nicely and does not wrinkle easily at all. I received many compliments on this shirt when I wore it to my son’s Kindergarten round up. I wore it on a 90 degree day and it was still breathable enough to be comfortable.
