The first thing that sparked my interest into cloth diapering was all the money I could save. Don’t get me wrong, I love to spendĀ money. That’s just it though, the more money I could save from buying the disposable diapers that just get thrown away, the more I could spend on other items of interest. You know items that don’t go on a rear end just to get thrown away in an hour or two. Not to mention the other many important benefits that I will be touching on as well.
Apple Cheeks was so kind to send me a reusable diaper of theirs to review, including a Bamboo Insert and a Bamboo Booster. What’s really awesome about the Apple Cheeks system is that they are versatile. You can use it as a pocket diaper, which I prefer. Or you can use it simply as a cover. They offer the boosters for heavy wetters. I use the booster for overnight.
This diaper is 100% mom approved. Thank you Ilana Grostern and Amy Appleton Venu, the women behind Apple Cheeks. We have had zero leakage with this diaper. It is very absorbent, when I remove the diaper my daughters skin is still dry. The fit is amazing. They come in two sizes, size 1 and 2. Olivia is right in between, but since it is inevitable that she will grow we went with a size 2. There is elastic in all the right places, around the thighs and around the waist. This creates a perfect fit without being too tight. The color is also very vibrant, because let’s face it, cloth diapering is fun for all the fun colors of dipes you can get too!
Here is a little demo I put on video:
So there you have it: saves money, it’s just as easy as disposable diapering, prevents rashes, stylish and the list goes on…. You can read here about more benefits and a break down of the potential money you can save.

What I learned by visiting their website is that the creator of Apple cheeks is from Montreal, that is where I live.
