School is coming back to a start, this is our first big year of school as Ryan is headed into Kindergarten. He has been so excited to start and actually told me that he wants homework. I’m sure he’ll change his mind in a couple years. We were so lucky to test out a Magic School Bus Science kit to give him a project to do at home. We experimented with Magic School Bus Diving into Slime, Gel and Goop. This is a project that I’m certain any child would love doing at home!
Ryan was so thrilled to get started with this, and has been using it over and over again. Honestly, we have used it every day since we’ve received it as this is what he asks to do while his baby sister is napping. What is so unique is that you can use it over and over, without going out and purchasing more supplies for select experiments. Ryan (and I) were able to learn about polymers in a fascinating way by making oobleck, making glue from milk, growing jiggly marbles, making snow from super absorbent crystals, melting the fake snow and much more. This has been very hands on and created hours of learning experiences for not just Ryan but myself!
The kit contains nearly everything you need except the liquid portion of the experiment, which is usually water. Some of the items are able to dry out and be used over again for more fun and experimentation. This is a great kit for summer to keep their brains moving, as well as great during the school year so they can impress the teachers on how much they’re learning at home as well.
