I have another fantastic Cloth Diaper to share with you today. I know we’ve been through several and I do not have a favorite over another, more just a particular favorite detail that each diaper carries to make it unique in it’s own way.
I was able to try a Bum Genius One Size Cloth Diaper, courtesy of Cotton Babies. Aside from the fresh adorable colors they have to choose from , the money you can save by using one size diapers is incredible. I was skeptical about a diaper that would fit a baby essentially from the time he/she is born until they are potty trained. This diaper fits babies 7-35 lbs. I am skeptical no more. The diaper arrived in the smallest fashion, suitable for the 7 lb baby. For a moment I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with this teeny diaper and my 20 lb baby. Then I started unsnapping, and sure enough there is a perfect size for her! I couldn’t resist trying the teeny size on one of her life size (newborn) baby dolls though and while I know that’s not a completely accurate way to judge, that too fit. She has one more snap size to grow, so I’m confident that she will be wearing this until she is potty trained.
Now, as I was, you might be wondering if it’s bulky when it’s in it’s smallest size, or if anything is taken away when in it’s largest form. As far as I can tell, there is no extra bulkiness or baggage from being snapped into the smallest form. The diaper does not look any more bulky than a cloth diaper only meant for a 7 lb baby. We all know that cloth diapers can look a bit bulky on those tiny bums regardless of the brand or style. Olivia is very comfortable in the second from the largest size. We have had zero leak issues, and she runs around in it happy as can be. The diaper both washes and dries with no issue, making for very easy maintenance. I should also mention the convenience of the insert, which also snaps to a smaller size so you do not have to purchase new inserts as the child grows.
Cotton Babies and Bum Genius have many other products to choose from as well. You can find items that make washing easier or cloth wipes, along with other styles of diapers. You can find them by visting either the Cotton Babies website or the Bum Genius website.

Bought some G Diapers for my six month old. I am disappointed so far as they don’t hold the poop in. I called the company and they told me that maybe she still needs to gain a few pounds. Are the Bumgenius diapers easy to launder?
We have been using BG for almost 2 years now and like them. I am surprised they sent you a diaper to try out. I thought I read on their blog that they don’t send out product and have people review it. Perhaps they meant for compensation other than the diaper?
Thank you Tiffany!
Nice to know that they are so comfy. I love the orange, very cute!
