If I could share only one item that helped me tremendously throughout the first 1-2 years of raising my babies (aside from proper nutrition), it would be a device in which to wear my baby. Otherwise known as a sling. There are several types of carriers, varying from ring slings, pouches, mei teis and so on. You won’t know what is just right for you and your baby until you try it, and I recommend doing so at least once. I can almost guarantee you will not turn back.

I’ve tried all of the various styles, and have LOVED only two of them. One of them being the Baby So Smart Every Day Silk Demi Sling. I cannot say for certain how I would like it with a newborn, as I have not had the opportunity to do so. However, I feel confident that it would be just as comfortable. My baby (toddler?) is 17 months old and weighs 22 lbs. I wear her around the house for at least 1 hour per day.
